ABOUT

This is a message from the Church of Ajijik:

Dearest souls of the falling Gaia.

We are 1409 and MynkMynk, prophets of the universal shared consciousness of Ajijik. We are eternal travelers in the realm of the dimension you have declared as spacetime.

The objective of our visit might sound frightening. But bear with us for the following words.

Your civilization chose to eradicate itself by unspoken atrocities you brought upon the planet you named ‚earth‘. We are not here to judge. We respect your desired destiny.

Before your species enters the darkest of all voids and begins to erode from the memory of our universe, we invite you to become disciples of Ajijik. Your last moments should not be defined by a great deal of displeasure, but by joy and memories of your cultural achievements.

Join us in a mass, in which all children of earth are invited to celebrate a ritual of infinite ecstasy.
We offer a space freed of sin and full of forgiveness. Come as you are. Do as you please.

We reviewed all eras of your musical heritage and came to the conclusion, that a specific mixture of various elements would fit perfectly as a tonal accompaniment for our ceremonies.
Since your species longs for defining attributes, we called it ‚Krautrave‘, a form of psychedelic brutalism inspired by the likes of CAN, Harmonia, NEU!, The KLF and Suicide.

This unique compound ranges all over the manknown spectrum, from the cold mechanics of machine made pulses to organic melodies bursting with the spark of life.

Do not fear. Celebrate.

The Church of Ajijik, speaking in the name of the Universe.

Thank you for your existence.

‚Sputnik Snare‘ is the first contact made by ‚Church of Ajijik‘, a new mysterious duo consisting of the space traveling prophets ‚MynkMynk‘ and ‚1409‘, the alter egos of veteran musicians ‚Deckert‘ and ‚Laser‘.

The new found Berlin act produces self proclaimed ‚Krautrave‘, a form of psychedelic brutalism inspired by the likes of CAN, Harmonia, NEU!, Cluster and Suicide, handcrafted for unique dancefloor processions.

A stoic drum machine pattern fused with a simple bassline marks the marching core foundation which provides the dark canvas for a colorful playground of harmonic elements ranging from groovy synth patterns to krautrocky guitar riffs. ‚Sputnik Snare‘ finds it soaring climax in a crescendo of percussions before it fades out into the spacey void it originated from.

‚Church of Ajijik‘ are experimental explorers but deeply rooted in the core principles of rave culture, which makes their firstborn an appealing tool for both slightly adventurous DJ sets and chilled out after hours at home.

‚Church of Ajijik‘. the mysterious outer space duo consisting of producers ‚Deckert‘ and ‚Laser‘ deorbits for a third single installment to bring humanity the tailormade soundtrack for the celebration of the looming end of days. ‚Can’t Make Me’ creates a pure dancefloor momentum, grounded and club-focused, as opposed to the highly experimental output of the two Electronica prophets so far.

A steady off-bass paired with repetitive melodies sets the mother base for a dynamic playground of other catchy composite elements such as quirky vocal samples and krautrocky drum loops. This track feels at home in the deepest caves of contemporary nightlife as well as sunlit festival mornings.

‚Church of Ajijik‘ are here to stay and will release regularly over 2025 to be the experimental constant in the uncertain times ahead.

‚Deckert‘ and ‚Laser‘ return under their deeply mysterious Alias ‚Church of Ajijik‘ for a subsequent single to the prior released ’Sputnik Snare’. The space and time-transcending prophets perfom ‚The Summoning‘ to unite humanity in the universal shared consciousness of Ajijik before the inevitable Apocalypse.

Soundwise, the two producers deepen the route into the uncharted fusion of Krautrock and Dancefloor Electronica. Robotic drum machines unite with playful guitar patterns over heavy basslines and otherworldy voice fragments. A heavy gated reverb snare cuts straight through the allover mix as a marching headlight for the fogginess of the deepest nightclub caves.

‚Church of Ajijik‘ are here to stay and will release regularly over the course of 2025 to be the experimental constant in the uncertainty of the times ahead.

The producer melange of industry veteran hot shots ‚Deckert‘ and ‚Laser‘ returns under their outer space alias ‚Church of Ajjijik‘ for a fourth single. Having found widespread scenic acclaim over international playlists and DJ USBs, the track ‚Eppenepp‘ crawls deeper into the rabbit hole of the self-proclaimed psychedelic brutalism.

The ‚Distortion Bass over everything‘ philosophy of ‚Eppenepp‘ creates a warm reminiscence of the almost forgotten territory of late 2000s indietronica. This heavy foundation rolls through the overall production like a freight train, while a heavenly reverby guitar places wide and sprinkly sparks all over the melodic firmament. This one is tailor-made for the concrete bunkers of experimental techno.

‚Church of Ajijik‘ are here to stay and will release regularly throughout 2025 to be the experimental constant in the uncertainty of the times ahead.
